FODZYME does not target specific conditions — rather, FODZYME's enzymes break down triggering substances (fermentable fibers) that are known to ferment by gut bacteria. Specifically, FODZYME's enzymes break down the fibers fructan, galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS), and lactose. So, if you know that you are sensitive to foods that contain them, then we recommend you give FODZYME a shot once your doctor approves you adding a new supplement to your gut-health regimen.
What foods does FODZYME® help with?
While the current version of FODZYME may not address polyol-containing foods, using powder the right way will help you digest fructan, GOS and lactose like a charm.

Why is FODZYME® a powder when most enzyme products are in a capsule/caplet?
Enzymes need to mix well with the food to get to its substrates (e.g. fructan) within the food. Swallowing an enzyme supplement like a pill/capsule does not allow the enzyme to sufficiently work into the food! It is crucial to maximize food-enzyme-homogenization, and this is what our powder form achieves.
