The President’s Innovation Challenge is an annual competition celebrating the most innovative minds from across Harvard University who have created ventures with the potential to be life- and world-changing. “Year after year, the Innovation Challenge gives members of our community an opportunity to focus, collaborate, and create,” said Harvard University President Larry Bacow. “Their efforts yield remarkable ideas for how we might work together to address some of the greatest challenges facing humanity. I am always energized and inspired by the work of our finalists — and by the deep engagement of faculty and alums who make that work possible.”
President Joe Biden has personally congratulated the finalists for their hard work, determination, and the extraordinary level of achievement. Addressing the ventures in human health, human endeavors, and sustainability, he said, “…You shoulder an important responsibility—to continue generating solutions that will transform people's everyday lives and help heal the world. I have no doubt that you will. You are part of the most gifted, tolerant, and innovative generation in our history.”
The President’s Innovation Challenge is a competition open to all Harvard students and selected alumni & affiliate-led ventures to propel their ideas forward. Having just organized its 11th annual ceremony, it is also an opportunity to win a share of $510,000 in non-dilutive funding, made possible by a gift from the Bertarelli Foundation.
